Aggravated Assault carries stiff penalties. If charged with this, you're looking at a 1st or 2nd degree felony.
Aggravated Assault in the 1st degree is:
* using a deadly weapon in the commission of the offense; or
* assault in retaliation against a witness
* assault against a security office
* drive by shooting
Keep in mind, if charged with aggravated assault, you must consider all the lesser included offenses which may come with the crime. Thus, although charged with Agg Assault, you are really dealing with a complex case and must fight each and every step of the way.
This charge carries stiff penalties, and requires you to high a lawyer without delay.
