Non Disclosure Series - Part 3: Eligibility for Non Disclosure

Question:

How do I qualify for an order of non disclosure?
Answer:
Orders for non disclosure are available to those who have been placed on deferred adjudication and successfully completed their conditions.
If you have ever been placed on deferred adjudication in the past, you are not eligible for deferred adjudication again.
Additionally, if you were placed on deferred adjudication for one of the following offenses, you are not eligible for an order of non disclosure:
sex offender
aggravated kidnapping
murder
capital murder
injury to child, elderly person, or disabled person
abandoning or endangering a child
violation fo a protective order or magistrate's order
stalking
any type of family violence
I hope this helps those of you who are looking to "seal" your records. I get may calls about this, and unfortunately, a lot of folks simply just don't qualify under the law.
If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
J. Julio Vela
