Administrative Driver's License Revocation Suspensions (21 or Older)

This deal with DPS suspensions.
An "Alcohol related or drug related enforcement contact" means a driver's license suspension, disqualification, or prohibition order udner the laws of this state or another state resulting from (1) a conviction for driving while intoxicated, (2) a refusal to submit to the taking of a breath or blood specimen following an arrest for driving while intoxicated, or (3) having a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or more following an arrest for driving while intoxicated
If you have 1 alcohol related or drug related enforcement contact:
1) If you take a breath or blood test and fail (.08 or more) - you DL will be suspended for 90 days
2) If you refuse to take a breath or blood test - your DL will be suspended for 180 days
If you have 1 or MORE alcohol-related or drug - related enforcement contacts during the last 10 years before the arrest :
1) If you take a breath or blood test and fail (.08 or more) - you DL will be suspended for 1 year
2) If you refuse to take a breath or blood test - your DL will be suspended for 2 years
Keep in mind this is all subject to your ALR hearing. You must request an ALR hearing within 15 days of your arrest to challenge the suspension of your license.
