Unlawful Use of Criminal Instrument or Mechanical Security Device (§16.01)
(A) POSSESSION of a Criminal Instrument or Mechanical Security Device
* A person
* Possess
* A criminal intrument or mechanical security device
* With the intent to use the instrument or device in the commission of an offense.
PUNISHMENT: One category lower than the intented offense
(B) MANUFACTURE, ADAPTS, SELLS, INSTALLS, OR SETS UP
* A person
* With knowledge of its character, and
* With intent to use or aid or permit another to use a criminal instrument or mechanical security device in the commision of an offense
* Manufactures, adapts, sells, installs, or sets up
* A criminal instrument or mechanical security device
PUNISHMENT: STATE JAILE FELONY
