1st Degree Felony: 5 to 99 or life in prison, 10K max fine

2nd Degree Felony: 2-20 years in prison, 10K max fine

(2nd degree felony, if proved at punishment by a preponderance of the evidence that death was caused under the immediate influence of sudden passion arising from adequate cause.)
